Obituary

Eviadean "Dean" Smith September 18, 1942 - December 26, 2025

Eviadean Smith, better known as Dean, age 83, went to meet the lord on December 26, 2025 in Livingston, TN. She was born at home in Celina, TN on September 18, 1942.

Dean's love for the Lord and her family was the foundation of her life. She lived faithfully and fully, leaving behind a legacy as a beloved mother, granny, sister, aunt, and dear friend.

She is survived by her sons, Danny (Wanda) Greer of Livingston, TN and Randal Gore of Cookeville, TN. Stepson: Barry Gore. Sister: Jessie O'Leary. Grandchildren: Carolyn (Billy) Oliver, Kris Gore and fiancee Samantha Young, Taylor (Jacob) Key, Whitney (Ryan) Lewis, Teddy (Hailley) Greer, and Tyler Allen. Great-grandchildren: Casey Oliver, Jacob (Madison) Oliver, Zakary Oliver and fiancee Taylor Hall, Ava, Ella, and Jack Gore, Berkley Young, Brady and Jax Key, Christopher and Madilyn Allen, and Delilah and Everett Greer. Great-great grandchildren: Poppy Jane and Willow Dean Oliver. Special son: Clarence Allen. She was also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ted and Belle Smith. Brothers Roy Smith, Glynn Smith, Carl Smith, and Jerry Smith, and daughter, Melinda Gore. Special friend M.C. Brown. She found great joy in caring for others in countless ways. Dean worked for many years at Pacesetters and in various restaurants, where her kindness and dedication touched many lives. She was deeply loved by all who knew her and was always eager to lend a helping hand whenever she could. Dean took pride in her appearance, especially when welcoming visitors—she delighted in having her hair done and never went without her signature bright red lipstick.

Though Dean will be missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at the Overton County Nursing home and Gentiva for all their love for Dean. These people have become family over the years.

The family will say their final goodbyes on January 2, 2026, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., followed by visitation for friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Service will be held at Hall Funeral Home in Livingston TN. At 6PM. Officiating the service will be Brother John Copeland.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like the flowers to be donated to the Overton County Nursing home.
