Elizabeth Gale
Cravens
Mar 2, 1959 — Apr 12, 2026
Our mother Elizabeth Gale Cravens was born in Hilham, TN on March 02,1959 and passed from this life pn Sunday, April 12, 2026. She was a homemaker and mother to four children. The definition of a Gale is a strong gust of wind, and our Gale lived true to that name. She had a larger than life personality and had no inhibitions sharing it with anyone and everyone she met. She was loud, opinionated, quick on the draw, and ready to put a swift end to anything that came between her and what she had her mind set on. Gale loved a fast ride on a Harley Davidson, a cold Coke, western movies, crochet, and music. You knew she was having a good day when you pulled into her driveway and could hear the rock music playing on her stereo. Gale was preceded in death by her beloved son Michael "Mickie" Kernell, her parents Annie and Thurman Brown, and many brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter Sarah Bingham-Pedigo of Tompkinsville, Ky, son Jerry Bingham of Cookeville, TN, and daughter Abbigale Cravens of Knoxville, TN. Gale is survived by many grandchildren of whom she cherished and loved deeply, brothers Ronnie Brown and Carl Brown, sisters Sandy Meadows, Shelia Baurs, Marti Vaughn and Edie Staggs in addition to a whole host of friends and family. We will always be grateful for our time with Gale, we will think of her every time a strong wind blows and be comforted knowing she will forever be with us. Gale had requested to be cremated, no services will be planned.
