Mr. Richard L. Craighead, age 73, of the Oak Grove Community of Clay County, TN passed away at the Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN on Friday Evening, January 29, 2016.

Richard Lee Craighead was born in the Oak Grove Community of Clay County, TN on November 15, 1942 to the late Clifton & Delma (Short) Craighead. He was preceded in death by his brothers: James Edward and Bobby Gene Craighead, sister: Betty Faye Cherry, nephew: Curtis Craighead, and daughter: Tonya Jean Daniels on March, 15 2005. He was a supervisor from Crotty Corporation in Celina, TN and Chairman of the Clay County Election Commission.

Richard is survived son: Dustin C. Spears of Indianapolis, IN, 1 grandson: Richard Rex Daniels of KY, and 2 nieces: Rita Jo (Danny) Ford of Oak Grove & Lizabeth (Craighead) Hatcher of Moss, TN.

Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, February 02, 2016 at 11 AM from the Chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Celina with Bro(s). Chris Reecer and Kenny Westmoreland officiating. The interment will follow in the Pitcock Cemetery in the Oak Grove Community. Visitation with the family will be held on Mon., Feb. 01, 2016 from 4 pm until 8 pm and on Tuesday from 8 am until service time at 11 am.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Oak Grove Church of Christ.

Dwayne Craighead, David Craighead, Jerry Craighead, Danny Ford, Steven Spears, and Kenny Westmoreland served as pallbearers.
