Richard Carter Scovel, 80, of Celina passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Celina Health & Rehabilitation Center in Celina. He was born June 30, 1937, in Chicago, IL to the late Richard Eugene and Evelyn Pohl Scovel. He was married to Susan Craig, and worked as an engineer for the Boeing Aircraft Company. He was a graduate of Michigan State University. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by other family members.

Carter is survived by his wife, Susan Scovel, of Celina; four sons, Daniel K. Scovel of Rowayton, CT, Robert and wife Dorothy Leach of Grand Prairie, TX, Craig Leach of Celina and Ryan and wife Selena Ankarburg of Weiser, ID; seventeen grandchildren, one great-grandchild; other relatives and friends.

A private memborial service will be conducted at a later date.
