William Robert Page Age 73 was born December 11, 1945 to Lillie V Page and Guy Bailey in Celina, Tennessee His mother died when he was nine years old and he was raised by his wonderful and loving grandmother Ms. Lockie Page. He loved to reminisce with everyone whose lives she impacted.
He passed away on May 17, 2019. Mr. Page served in the Army from Oct 24, 1966 to Oct 17, 1969. After returning home from the service he married the former Bertie M. Plumlee In Chicago Illinois on February 7, 1970. Two sons were born to this union, William R Page J.R.(Jessica) and Timothy M Page (Jasmine Hill). He is survived by grandson William Taylor Page and granddaughter Karli Breann Page. Mr. William R Page is also survived by his sisters Rosa L. Williams Celina, Tn, Elise Verble, Annie Bell Page and Mary Jo (Billy)Hamilton all of Louisville, Kentucky and Elizabeth Wilson of Philadelphia, Pa. Aunt Junita Page and Special cousin Walter Hamilton and many nieces and nephew survived as well.
Mr. Page loved his community and loved his church. He labored tirelessly at Free Hill Church of Christ as a preacher, teacher and counselor for nearly forty years. During Free Hills bicentennial in 2016, He worked to document he genealogy of the Free Hill community. He worked in many other ways to assist members of the community and to improve conditions in the Free Hill community.
Mr. William R. Page's education was provided by Free Hill elementary school, New York City elementary school system, Darwin High School, Olive Harvey Chicago Illinois, and Tennessee State University Nashville, Tennessee. He also received training with the Corp of Engineers.
Mr. William Page's employment included Sunset Dock in Ky, Western Electric Chicago Ill, L&N Railroad Louisville Ky, Men's Correctional Facility Nashville TN, and Tennessee Valley Authority. He retired from Corps of Engineers after working as an Electrician at the Dale Hollow dam for more than thirty years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his grandmother, his brother Thomas Page and his son Jamie Page.
