Obituary:

Mr. Melvin Ansel Carender, Jr., 72, of Moss, TN passed away at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center on Thursday, December 4, 2014.

Mr. Carender was born on April 5, 1942 to his late parents Melvin Ansel Sr. and Delores May (Rhodes) Carender in New Castle, Indiana.

He was a gunsmith and a veteran of the U.S. Army and the Tennessee National Guard.

He is survived by his wife,  Dorothy Estell Carender

Daughters: Jessica May Day and Husband Tony; Delores Estell Marie Paruszkiewicz and Husband Steven Anthony

Sons: Joe Lloyd Carender and wife Shelly

Jason Allen Carender and wife Jeanie

Melvin Ansel Carender III and wife Mary

Sister: Dottie Irene Duncan

Grandchildren: Tyler Wayne Dickens, Amber Lynn Carender, Alan Jackson Day, John Thomas Day, Evan Chad Carender, Jesse Matthew Carender, Hannah Elizabeth Carender, Ayden Thomas Carender, Michelle Faye Blakley, and Nathan Shane Blakley

Great Grandchildren: Elizabeth Mae Paruszkiewicz, Christina Diane Marie Paruszkiewicz, and Steven Anthony Paruszkiewicz, Jr.
