Mrs. Ione L. Adams age 92 of Burkesville, Cumberland Co., KY passed from this life on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at the Cumberland Co. Hospital in Burkesville, KY.

PERSONAL INFORMATION:

Mrs. Ione Lorene Adams was born in Celina, Clay Co., TN to the late Bedford and Lora (Daniels) Roach. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. She believed in working hard and being a good Godly Christian. Ione was a hard working strong willed independent woman with a heart of gold. She loved her family and considered them her greatest treasure; she loved to cook for them and it's been hard for her family to decide which was their favorite food she prepared… her fried apple pies or cobbler, molasses cakes, potato cakes, green beans, corn the list goes on and on. Mrs. Ione worked with her hand her entire life, and she loved to put out a garden and put up fruit and vegetables. She never saw a flower she didn't love or she couldn't get to grow. She also loved to quilt, crochet, and embroider; she was a lady of many talents. Ione leaves behind a family that is truly blessed to have her in their lives. She instilled values, morals, a strong work ethic, and most importantly a love for Gad and family. She may not have always said I love you but there was never any doubt that she loved us all.

SURVIVORS:

3 Daughters: Kathy Taylor of Martinsville, Indiana, Rachel Everley and her husband Monte, Tena Adams of Burkesville, KY; 2 Sons: Larry Adams and his wife Marsha of Celina, TN, David Adams and his wife Debbie of Algood, TN; 1 Sister: Christine Capps of Cookeville, TN; 10 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren; 1 Special Niece Earlin Raines of Celina, TN; A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends also survive.

PRECEDED IN DEATH:

In addition to her parents; her husband of 51 years: Lloyd Adams; 1 Son: Anthony Adams; 2 Brothers: Paul Roach, B C Roach; 2 Sisters: Claudine White, Janell Burris.

SERVICES:

Funeral services for Mrs. Ione Lorene Adams will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 2 PM from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Celina with burial to follow in the Williams Cemetery in the Pea Ridge Community of Clay Co., TN. The family will welcome friends at the funeral home on Monday evening, Nov. 23 ^rd starting at 5 PM until 9 PM. Officiating with the service will be Bro. Carley Conner and Bro. Sam Dick.
