Mr. Lecil H. Thompson, age 83, of Celina, TN passed away at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN on Thursday, January 14, 2016.

Lecil Howard Thompson was born in Cumberland County, Kentucky on August 24, 1932 to the late Edker Tee and Melie Velma (Johnson) Thompson. Lecil was preceded in death, besides his parents, by his brother: Randall Jones Thompson. He was married on September 29, 1954 to Gladys R. Williams, who survives. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in the Korean Conflict. Lecil worked at Osh Kosh B'Gosh as factory worker and was an active member of the Celina Church of Christ for many years.

Lecil is survived by Wife: Gladys Thompson of Celina, TN, Son: Danny K. (Carol) Thompson of Palmyra, MO, Daughter: Chryl Lynne (Andrew) Wright of Celina, TN, Sister: Vonda E. Stephens of Celina, TN, 9 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Grandchild on the way, survivors also include two Granddogs: Copper and Foxy.

Funeral Services for Lecil Thompson will be conducted on Sunday, January 17th at 1 PM from the Chapel of the Hall Funeral Home, LLC in Celina, TN with Bro. Caleb Burnette officiating. The interment will follow in the Donaldson Cemetery in the Pea Ridge Community in Clay County, Tennessee with military rites conducted by the James T. Davis V.F.W. Post 5062. Visitation with the family will begin on Friday, January 15th from 6p until 8p, Saturday, January 16th from 8a until 9p, and on Sunday, January 17th from 10a until the service time at 1p.

Ethan Wright, Will Wright, Audra Wright, Ashley Thompson, Shawn Thompson, and Jim Stephens served as pallbearers.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Donaldson Cemetery Fund.
