Obituary

Visitation for Kenneth will be from 4 PM until 6 PM Friday, May 22nd, 2015 at Pulaski Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 6 PM, Friday with Bro. Mark Brumfield officiating.

Visitation for Kenneth will be at Hall Funeral Home, Celina TN for viewing from 10AM - 1PM Saturday, May 23rd, 2015.



Obituary:

Kenneth E. Abney passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

He was born on November 3rd, 1940 to his parents. Butler B. and Ema P. (Rich) Abney in Celina, TN of Clay County.

He worked for General Motors in Dayton, Oh for 35 years, retiring in December 1996 to Somerset, Kentucky. He enjoyed his mini farm, spending time with his family and friends, watching and attending Tennessee ball games.

He was raised as a child by a special grandmother, Lou Ella Rich, after the death of his mother.

He is survived by his wife, Mafra "Pat" Glover Abney of Science Hill, Kentucky; two sons, John & (Rosetta) Abney of Somerset, Kentucky, and Chad Abney (Melissa Crowe and son, Hunter Crowe) of Lexington, Kentucky; two granddaughters, Leah Abney of New Hampshire, OH, and Larissa & (Mark) Isaacs of Marysville, OH; four grandchildren, Elysia Cummings of New Hampshire, OH, and Jadyn, Faith, and Marcus Isaacs of Marysville, OH; several cousins and friends, extended family; Anthony Baker, Kristine Baker, Emme Clem, and the mother of his grandchildren, Kathy Carrington; the Smithers family of Huntsville, Tennessee; a sister-in-law Debbie Glover of Franklin, OH; and a brother-in-law, Gary & (Patti) Glover of Frankfort, Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Wilma Abney; grandparents, Martin and Lou Ella (Hull) Rich, and Williams and Lou (Garret) Abney, one special aunt, Sarah Bailey of Celina, Tennessee, two brothers-in-law, Raymond Glover and Bob Glover, a sister-in-law Barbara Glover of Somerset, Kentucky; and a special nephew, Wayne Glover.
