James Harold Allen, age 68, of Celina, TN passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at the NHC of Cookeville, Tennessee.

James Harold Allen was one of 14 children born to the late Everette and Eva Mae (Scott) Allen on March 23, 1947 in Jackson County, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Ray Allen, Gene Allen, Perry Allen, and Mildred Dillon. James worked as a loader operator in the zinc mines and was a member of the Beech Bethany Church of Christ. Mr. Allen enjoyed company and anyone who would take time to sing with him.

Mr. Allen is survived by wife: Edith (Wilson) Allen of Celina, TN, Daughter: Melissa and Dr. Lee Copeland of Celina, TN, Sons: Johnny Everette and Gidget Allen of Gainesboro, TN and Roger Dale and Grace Allen of Winston Salem, NC, 5 Brothers: Comer Allen, Richard Allen, and Jimmy Allen all of Gainesboro, TN, Johnny Allen of Hilham, TN, and David Allen of Baxter, TN, 4 Sisters: Jo Helen Ray and Diane Allen of Gainesboro, TN, Mary Phillips of Carthage, TN, and Patricia Sullivan of Livingston, TN, 4 Grandchildren: Elizabeth Copeland, Jesse Copeland III, Jonna Allen, and Carl Summersill, and 1 Great Grandchild: Alexa Rose Summersill.

Funeral Services for Mr. James Allen will be held on Friday, November 06th at 10:00am from the Chapel of the Hall Funeral Home in Celina, TN with Bro. Kenny Westmoreland officiating and singing provided by the Alene Gray Family. The interment will follow in the John L. Clark Cemetery in Gainesboro, TN. The visitation with the family will be at the Hall Funeral Home of Celina on Wednesday, November 4 from 5pm - 9 pm, Thursday, November 5 from 8am - 9 pm, and on Friday from 8 am until service time at 10am.

The pallbearers will be members of the Beech Bethany Church of Christ.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made toward the Beech Bethany Church of Christ Building Fund by visiting the office of Hall Funeral Home or Bank of Celina.
