James Ardell Anderson, age 76, of Greenfield, IN passed away December 7, 2018 at Hancock Regional Hospice. He was born June 16, 1942 in Clay County, Tennessee to the Late Eulice Anderson and Irene (Crowder) Anderson who survives.   He married the love of his life, Sandra "Joan" Wilmoth Anderson on December 25, 1959.

Ardell was a member of the Greenfield Church of Christ, an avid fisherman, enjoyed visiting with family and friends and helping people. He and his wife were very giving and loving people and would do anything they could to help someone.

He is survived by his mother, Irene (Crowder) Anderson of Whitleyville, TN; wife Sandra "Joan"Anderson, Greenfield, IN; sons, Kim Anderson of New Palestine, IN, Shawn (Jeanette) Anderson, Indianapolis, IN; daughter, Tammy Cooper, Indianapolis, IN; Brothers: John Anderson, Whitleyville, Winston Anderson, Greenfield, IN; Tom   Anderson, Red Boiling Springs, TN and one sister Illona Leeper, Mt. Juliet, TN, 3 Grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

In addition to his father Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by brothers Glynn Anderson and Harold Anderson; one sister: Muriel Faye Anderson.

Friends may call 4-8 pm, Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. The visitation in Celina, TN will be at Hall Funeral Home of Celina, from 5:00 PM till 9:00 PM Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018 and from 10:00 AM till service time at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018. Nathan Sherrell will officiate. Burial to follow in the Anderson-Cherry Cemetery off of McCormick Ridge Road.   In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Anderson-Cherry Cemetery.
