Margaret Juanita Hunter VanEssen, longtime resident of Celina, Clay Co., TN age 92 passed away from natural causes at Celina Health & Rehabilitation on Friday, September 17, 2021.

She was born in Bloomington Springs, Putnam Co., TN to Alex and Mintie Jane (Mathis) Hunter. While in Celina, she was very active in many organizations and a longstanding member of the United Methodist Church. She is survived by one daughter and son in-law, Nancy and George Slater of Algonac, Saint Clair Co., Michigan, multiple nieces and nephews, and many other extended family members. She is preceded by her husband, Henry L. VanEssen, her only son, Darrell (Pete) Davis, a Daughter (infant) Patty Ann, and only grandchild (infant), Veronica Leah. In honor of her wishes, there will be no funeral service.
