Obituary

Mr. Howard Eugene Hilton, age 71, of Celina, TN passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 04, 2015 at his residence in Celina, TN.

Howard Eugene Hilton was born on June 26, 1944 in Ripley Co., Missouri to the late Howard E. Hilton and the former Mary E. Byrd. Howard was preceded in death by his father and sister: Nettie Palmer.

Howard graduated from Doniphan High School in Doniphan, MO. He served and was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. Howard received his Masters Degree in Business Administration from Wesleyan University in Indiana. He was also a Broker and had his Real Estate License. He was active in many groups in Celina including: Second Harvest Food Bank, Clay County Three Star Retirement Committee, American Legion Post 18 (2014 Adjutant), Masonic Lodge F & AM - 625, Friends of Dale Hollow Lake, and a member of the Celina United Methodist Church. He was employed by General Motors.

Howard is survived by his Wife: Sue (Baxter) Hilton of Celina, Tn, Daughter: Cindy (Phil) Riley of Martinsville, IN, Mother: Mary E. Hilton of Oxly, MO, Sister: Mary Alice Meek of Sileam Springs, AR, Brothers: Charlie (Mary) Hilton, Ed (Donna) Hilton, and Bob Hilton all of Doniphan, MO, Glen (Pam) Hilton of Bryson, IL, Gary (Shookie) Hilton and Sam (Mona) Hilton of Oxly, MO.

Funeral Services for Mr. Howard Eugene Hilton were held on Friday, November 06, 2015 at 4 PM at the Celina Untied Methodist Church with Josh Newberry officiating. The Honor Guard of the V.F.W. Post 5062 conducted the Military Rites. The song service was provided by the Celina United Methodist Church Choir. The visitation was at the Celina United Methodist Church on Friday from 11 AM until service time at 4 PM. The family has chosen cremation after the service.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to the Celina United Methodist Church or to the charity of your choice.
