Ms. Geraldine Strong, age 86, of the Brimstone Community of Clay County, passed away on Thursday Evening, August 18th, 2016 at the Celina Health and Rehabilitation.

Ms. Geraldine Johnson was born in the Brimstone Community of Clay County, TN on April 04, 1930 to the late Garrett Johnson and Bertha Alice (Anderson) Hammons. She was married to the late Roy Lee Strong. She was also preceded in death by her daughter: Sharon Kay Bean, granddaughter: Jennifer Bean, and a sister: Lovie Alice Poindexter Thompson. She was a homemaker and a retired inspector for Osh Kosh B'Gosh and a member of the New Hope Church of Christ.

Geraldine is survived by sons: Robert Strong, Sr. of Lebanon, TN, Paul (Anita) Strong of Livingston, TN, Clark Strong of Brimstone Creek, and Randell (Connie) Strong of Brimstone Creek, daughters: Eva Renee (Clyde) Cherry of Hermitage Springs, Ina Barlow of Cookeville, TN, Shelba Strong Hodges of Cookeville, TN, and Lisa Strong of Lebanon, TN, sister: Billie Jean Johnson, brothers: Junior, Buddy, and Richie Hammons, 19 Grandchildren, 21 Great-Grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and other family members also survive.

Funeral Services for Ms. Geraldine Strong will be conducted on Sunday, August 21st at 2 PM from the New Hope Church of Christ with Bro. Jason Dodson and Dr. Robert Strong, Jr. officiating. The interment will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery in Moss, TN. The visitation with the Strong family will begin on Saturday, Aug. 20th from 1 PM until 9 PM and on Sunday from 8 AM until service time at 12 PM at the funeral home.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made toward the Macedonia Cemetery Fund.
