Mr. Michael F. Schimtz age 98 of Celina, TN passed away on Friday, July 6, 2018 at the Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN.

Mr. Michael F. "Bud" Schmitz was born in Lemont, Illinois on January 18, 1920 to the late Michael F. and Matilda (Gracak) Schmitz. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for almost 40 years as a maintenance supervisor, he also served in the Navy and was a Veteran of WWII. He loved fishing, golfing, and spending time on Dale Hollow Lake.

He is survived by his Daughter Sandy Johnson and her husband Bob; 2 Brothers: Alfred Schmitz, Bob Schmitz and his wife Pearl; 3 Grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson. Also his dear friend and caregiver Shelly and her husband Dale.

In addition to his parents Mr. Michael F. "Bud" Schmitz is preceded in death by his wife Helen Raymond whom he married on August 19, 1941 in Lemont, Illinois. 1 Son Mickey Schmitz and 1 granddaughter Tiffany Johnson and 1 brother Carl.

SERVICES/BURIAL:
Funeral services for Mr. Michael F. "Bud" Schmitz will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 10 AM from the Chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Celina with burial to follow in the Fitzgerald Cemetery/ Hamilton Addition. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, July 10, 2018 starting at 5 PM until 8 PM.
