Ms. Essie Mae (Sherrill) Thompson, age 82, of Celina, Tennessee passed away on Monday, November 09, 2015 at the Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, Tennessee.

Essie Mae Sherrill was born on March 14, 1933 in the town of Celina, Tennessee to the late M. Ernest Sherrill and the late Cassie LouElla (Murphy) Arms. She was married to the late Amos Cornell Thompson in October of 1956 in Celina, he preceded her in death on February 05, 1991. She was also preceded in death by their son: Timothy Dewayne Thompson on May 02, 2008 and brother: Russell Arms and an infant brother. She was the caretaker and a member of the Celina Church of Christ for many years.

She is survived by her daughter: Diana Webb of Franklin, TN, grandson: Shannon Webb of Smryna, TN, sisters: Rose L. Brumley of Waynesboro, Miss, Bobbie (Kenneth) McLain of Indianapolis, IN, and Reba Sheffield of Celina, TN.

Funeral Services for Ms. Essie Thompson will be held Wednesday, November 11th at 11 AM from the Chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Celina with Bro. Kenneth McClain officiating. The interment will follow in the Hamilton Addition of the Fitzgerald Cemetery in Celina, Tennessee. The visitation will be at the Hall Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 PM until 8 PM and on Wednesday from 9 AM until service time at 11 AM.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Hamilton Addition of the Fitzgerald Cemetery Fund at Bank of Celina or Hall Funeral Home.

Ronald Strong, Alan West, Harvey Webb, Shannon Webb, Vernon Groce, and Marion Bowman served as pallbearers with honorary pallbearers being members of the Celina Church of Christ.
