HERMITAGE SPRINGS - Ms. Emo Jean Smith, age 81, of the Hermitage Springs Community of Clay County, TN passed away at her residence on Friday, May 06, 2016.
Emo Jean Green was born in Clay County, TN to the late Carlos Lee & Lucille (Lancaster) Green. She was united in marriage to the late Walter Smith, whom preceded her in death. Emo Jean was also preceded in death by son: Darris Lee Spivey and brother: James Green. Emo Jean was a retired factory worker and was an active participant in the Clay County Senior Citizens Center.
Emo Jean is survived by son and daughter-in-law: Bobby G. (Renita) Spivey, Daughter: Betty Spivey, Brothers: Alvis Green and Eddie Green, Sisters: Sylvia Boudreau, Ellen (Larry) Craig, Ora (Roger) West, Donetta (Jimmy) Thompson, Deanie (Junior) Qualls, and Pearl Lancaster and grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Allison, Cresence, Carlos, Lexie, Sadie, Stephanie & Rod, Josh, Connor, Caleb, Jerry, Angie, and Asia. A host of nieces, nephews, and other family members also survive.
Funeral Services for Ms. Emo Jean Smith will be conducted at 3 pm on Sunday, May 08, 2016 from the Chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Celina with interment to follow in the Hinson Cemetery in the Union Hill Community of Clay County, TN. Bro. Jimmie Simpson will officiate. Visitation with the family at the Hall Funeral Home will begin on Saturday, May 07 from 6 p to 8 p and Sunday, May 08 from 10 a until service time at 3 pm.
