Obituary

Mr. Odell Moore, age 71, of Moss, TN passed away at the Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN on Tuesday afternoon, November 8th, 2016.

Dennis Odell Moore was born in Center Point in Monroe County, Kentucky on Friday, December 15, 1944 to the late Glen and Lecta (White) Moore. Odell was joined in marriage on January 30, 1970 to the former Eva Nell Smith. He had worked for 15 years at Richardson Rubber in Indianapolis, IN, where he was a proud member of the United American Worker's Union and had retired from many years at Osh Kosh B'Gosh in Celina. Odell enjoyed many hobbies and interests and took pride in involving his grandsons in many of those activities such as: fishing, hunting, playing marbles, and loved sharing memories of his childhood with his loved ones. He also attended the Old Fashioned Missionary Baptist Church in Moss, TN.

Odell is survived by his wife of 46 years: Eva Moore of Moss, daughters: Amy (Boddie) Strong of Celina, and Amanda Scott of Cookeville, TN, grandsons: Ben Strong and Tucker Scott, brothers and sisters-in-law: Billy Joe, Cecil, and James Moore of Tompkinsville, KY, A.D. (Pat) Moore of Indianapolis, IN, and Delmas (Linda) Moore of Smithville, TN, sisters: Dorothy (Allen) Booher and Joyce (Wayne) King of Tompkinsville, KY, and Rita (Jeff) Whaley of Celina, TN, surviving also are his special brothers and sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services for Odell Moore will be conducted on Friday, November 11th at 1 PM from the Chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Celina with interment to follow in the Moore Cemetery in Moss. The calling hours for the Moore family will begin on Thursday from 12 Noon until 9 PM and on Friday from 8 AM until the service time at 1 PM at the funeral home.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made toward the Old Fashioned Missionary Baptist Church by contacting the office of the Hall Funeral Home.
