Mr. Billy Smith age 59 of Hilham, Clay Co., TN passed from this life on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at the Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN.

PERSONAL INFORMATION:

Mr. Billy Smith was born in Livingston, Overton Co., TN on Tuesday, August 28, 1962 to the late Robert Casto and Virginia (Capps) Smith. Billy was the Tax Assessor for Clay Co., TN for many years. He attended the Livingston First Freewill Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He worked hard for his family and he loved meeting people and talking to them. He was not only a friend to Clay County, he was a friend to all he came in touch with. His family and the citizens of Clay Co. will greatly miss him.

SURVIVORS:

His wife Cheryl Smith; 1 Daughter: Carla Grace and her husband Mark; 3 Sons: Billy Smith, Jr. and his wife Brittany, Jason Bilbrey and his wife Star, Anthony Smith and his wife Jane; 12 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild; 2 Sisters: Shirley Parton and her husband Greg, Gwen Gore and her husband Roy; A host of other family and friends also survive.

SERVICES/BURIAL:

Funeral services for Mr. Billy Smith will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 2 PM from the Chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Celina with burial to follow in the Smith Family Cemetery at his residence in Hilham, Clay Co., TN. Family will welcome friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 4 th starting at 4 PM until 9 PM. Officiating with the service will be Bro. Derek Copeland.
