Mr. Billy Fay Gray, age 81, of the Pea Ridge Community of Clay Co., TN passed away surrounded by his family at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN on Saturday night, September 10, 2016.

Billy Fay Gray was born in the Pea Ridge Community on August 07, 1935 to the late Biddle Young Gray and Willie Hazel (Anderson) Jones. Billy was preceded in death besides his parents by brothers: James Bethel & Bobby Clay Gray. He was married to Evon Watson on July 6, 1955 by Bro. Andrew Johnson. Billy was a retired heavy machinery operator for the Tennessee Department of Transportation and a member of the Rock Springs Church of Christ on Pea Ridge.

Billy is survived by his wife of 61 years: Evon Gray of the Pea Ridge Community, daughters: Rhonda (Jeff) Short of the Pea Ridge Community and Theresa (Johnny) Boles of Celina, brother: Roger (Jan) Gray of Celina, sisters: Barbara Williams of Celina, Elise Thompson of Nashville, Sue (Slim) Thompson of the Pea Ridge Community, , and Betty (Billy) Webb of the Pea Ridge Community, 1 grandson: Andrew Boles of Celina, and a host of friends and other family also survives.

Funeral Services for Billy Fay Gray will be conducted on Tuesday, September 13th, 2016 at 1 PM with Bro. Jim Blankenship officiating. The interment will follow in the Williams Cemetery in the Pea Ridge Community. The visitation with Mr. Gray's family will begin on Monday, Sept. 12th from 1 PM until 9 PM and on Tuesday from 9 AM until the service time at 1 PM at the Hall Funeral Home of Celina.

Harvey Webb, Cecil Hogan, Vernon Groce, Dennis McClain, Louie Key, Carmon Tidwell served as pallbearers. Roger Proffitt, Lonell Thompson, Harold Sherrell, and Danny Thompson served as honorary pallbearers.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made toward the Williams Cemetery Fund.
