Rev. Roy A. Hudson, 84, died peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones in Rickman, TN on May 27, 2020. He was born on April 25, 1936 in Mt. Judea, Arkansas, the son of Landis and Norah Hudson.

He was a loyal, faithful husband and loving father who embodied Biblical love. Married to Ruby C. Marshall-Hudson who preceded him on February 15, 2020, Roy soon followed to be with his love in heaven.

Roy faithfully served God for decades as an evangelist, teacher, and pastor. He was a homebuilder, under-water welder, and carpenter by trade. Roy enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was a master archer winning many accolades. Playing alongside his beloved wife, Ruby, a pianist, Roy played the guitar and sang for the Lord.

Brothers: General, Azell, Troy (his twin), and Eugene Hudson

Sisters: Opal Shatswell, Mildred Cogburn, and infant sister, Eve Hudson.

He is survived by a sister, Charlene Jones. Roy had eight children (Theresa Humes, Roxann Carpenter, Kaylee Trejo, Martha Brennecke, Vonda Pierce, and Michael Murphy, Theresa Hudson-Collins, and Michael Hudson), 20 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Roy truly set the example of a good father and was always available to share the Word of God, to counsel, advise, lead, and give warm hugs.

A service of celebration of his life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 30 ^th at Hall Funeral Home, located at 423 Brown St. in Celina, TN, officiated by Rev. Caleb Andrews and Pastor Jeremy Bilbrey.   Immediately following the funeral service, the cemetery service will be held at McDonald's Cemetery in Celina, TN on Baptist Ridge Rd. Visitation will also be held on the same day at Hall Funeral Home between 12 p.m.-1 p.m.   Reception will be held at the home of Brian and Vonda Pierce after the cemetery service, located at 7076 Gainesboro Hwy, Celina, TN.
