Bobbie Jean Ledbetter Thurman passed away surrounded by loveds ones on, Monday, August 24, 2026 at the age of 89.

Born at home in Allons, TN on August 22, 1937, to Joe and Hauta Holman Ledbetter. She was a member of The Allons Baptist Church.

Bobbie worked for Overton County Schools for 32 years and greatly enjoyed her job and co-workers.

One of her greatest joys was to babysit her grand kids, Morgan and Dylan, when they were young.

Bobbie is survived by two sons; Keith Thurman and wife Sherry, and Kenny Thurman. Daughter in law Amy Thurman, grandchildren Morgan Thurman Hale and husband Andrew and Dylan Thurman, great grand children; Charlotte and Mary Michael Hale. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, Bobbie is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Ezell Thurman, son Mike Thurman, sister; Clara Hunter and   O.V. Apollos, and Wanda Thurman and her brothers; Coy Ledbetter, and Jim Ledbetter.

Pallbearers: Dylan Thurman, Parker Thurman, Blake Thurman, Billy Poston, David Poston, and Andrew Hale.

Visitation will be held in the chapel of Hall Funeral Home, Thursday, August 27, 2026, starting at 12PM until time of service at 2PM.

Funeral services will be Thursday, August 27, 2026 at 2PM. Burial will follow to the Hunter Cove Cemetery in Allons, TN.
