Mrs. Betty Louise Buford age 83 of Celina, Clay Co., TN passed from this life on Monday, October 30, 2023 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Davidson Co., TN.

Mrs. Betty Buford was born on Monday, December 18, 1939 in Celina, Clay Co., TN to the late Willie Fowler Poindexter and Elise Ann Moredock Poindexter. Betty was married to the late Clarence Edward Buford for 66 years. She worked at Pak, being one of the first to hire in, then it sold to Crotty and she was hired back on and continued to work for 50 plus years before retirement. She was a loving mother, and sister and she cherished her family very much. Betty was greatly loved and she will be deeply missed.

Mrs. Buford is survived by: 4 Sons: Richard Edward Buford, Ronald Edwin Buford, John Thomas Buford, and Jimmy Martin Buford; Grandchildren: Betty Ann Sutton and William Thomas Buford; Sister: Sandra Smith; other family and friends also survive.

Mrs. Buford is preceded in death by: Parents: Willie and Elise Poindexter; Husband: Clarence Buford; Brother: Bennie Poindexter and twin brothers James and Joe Pindexter: Grandson: Daniel Edward Buford.

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Louise Buford will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 1 PM from the chapel of the Clay Co. Funeral Home in Celina with Hall Funeral Home of Livingston being in charge of the services. Burial will follow in the Edward Buford Family Cemetery in Celina, Clay Co., TN. Family will welcome friends at the Clay Co. Funeral Home on Thursday afternoon, November 2nd starting at 1 PM until 8 PM and again Friday morning starting at 10 AM until the beginning of service at 1 PM. Officiating the service will be Kevin Donaldson and Gerald Burnette
