Mrs. Bennie Oakley was born on September 7, 1931 in Overton County to the late Curtis and May Qualls Norrod. She worked as a secretary for the Overton County Highway department. Mrs. Oakley is survived by 2 sons and daughters in-law Burt and Sherian of Tullahoma and Ben and Susan Oakley of Livingston; 1 brother, F.B. Norrod of the Dry Hollow Community; 4 Sisters, Johnnie Cook of Livingston, Juanella Shae, Georgie Honeycutt and Opal Krantz all of the Dry Hollow Community. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Bria oakley and Ty Sparkman. She was preceded in death by her husband, R.B. Oakley; 2 Brothers, Bill and E.C. Norrod; 2 sisters Viola Bowman and Virdie Krantz. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the EDGE, the First United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
