Mrs. Belle D. (Brown) Harris, age 103 of Monterey, passed away at her residence on Tuesday evening, January 27, 2009. Mrs. Harris was born in Overton County, TN on September 7, 1905 to the late Marion and Dovie Austin Brown. Mrs. Belle D. Harris is survived by: 4 Sons: M.J. Harris, L.N. Harris and wife Betty, Jerry Harris and wife Mary, and J.B. Harris and wife Gale; 3 Daughters: Bertie Davidson and husband Lewis, Carrie Lou Vaughn and husband Floyd, and Bessie Lea Harris; 1 Sister: Myrtle McDonald; 9 Grandchildren, 8 Step Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, 10 Great Great Grandchildren, and a special Grandson Bobby Harris also survive. She is preceded in death by: In addition to her parents; Husband: Luther Harris; 1 Daughter: Auda Mae Harris; 2 Sons: Billy C. Harris and Joel Harris; and 1 Grandson Donnie Smith.
