Obituary

Annette Marie Cross, known affectionately as Ann, passed away on September 7, 2024, in Livingston, TN, at the age of 47. Born on May 11, 1977, in Elwood, IN, she was a beloved daughter, sister, and mother, cherished for her vibrant spirit and creative soul.

Ann's passion for art, cooking, trucking, and motorcycles reflected her adventurous and artistic nature. Her artwork, often inspired by the beauty of landscapes and the thrill of the open road, brought joy and inspiration to those around her. Ann's love for motorcycles was not just about the ride but about the sense of freedom and the strong community bonds it fostered.  She was proud to be the Sargent of Arms with the Odin's Keepers MC.

She is survived by a loving family: her father, James M. Cross; mother, Carol L. Vandenbrink Hanson and Step-Father, Brad Hanson; siblings, Carrie L. Cross, Rachael N. Taylor, Sean E. Vanden Brink, and Curtis B. Vanden Brink; her son, Kyle Wilson; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and her Great Dane Rose who will miss her deeply. Ann was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, James and Mary Cross; maternal grandparents, Nettie and Frank Baldwin; her aunt, Marianne McCallister; stepfather Dirk Vanden Brink, who called her Pookie; and her beloved pup Coda.

Ann's life was a portrait of passion and perseverance, painted with the broad strokes of love and the fine lines of familial ties. She will be remembered as a free spirit who lived life with zest and left an indelible impact on those fortunate enough to have known her.  Her family is asking that in lieu of flowers, you make a donation in her honor to The Human Fund of Cookeville, TN or Voices of Hope in Lincoln, NE.

A service to celebrate Ann's life will be held in Livingston, TN on September 21, 2024, at 3 pm at the Rotary Agricultural Building at the Overton Co Fairgrounds. Her family invites all who knew her to join in honoring her memory and the beautiful marks she left on the world.              P
