DECEASED:  Mr. Alan Steele passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 27th, 2024, surrounded by family in the comfort of his home, at age 80.

PERSONAL INFORMATION:  Mr. Alan Steele was the youngest of four children: Marla, Larry, Duane and he, born to John and Catherine Steele.  Alan married Myrtle Carr of Alpine, TN in 1967, spending 57 years together.  Two children were born of the union; Angela (1968) and Keith (1971). In the early years of their marriage, Alan served in the US Army Reserve and remained proud of his service throughout his life.  Throughout his life, Alan enjoyed hunting and fishing and shared that passion with innumerable family and friends.

SURVIVORS:  Alan is survived by his wife, Myrtle Steele, his daughter Angela Seber and husband Adam, and his son Keith Steele and wife Kathryn. Additionally, he is survived by two grandsons;  Christopher McDonald and wife Kathryn and Kellan Steele, and two great grandsons; Nash and Bray McDonald. While he loved the titles of husband and father, he was especially proud to be called Grandpa, Poppy, and GG Pa by "his boys."

PRECEDED IN DEATH:  He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers and survived by his sister.

SERVICES/BURIAL: A Celebration of life will be announced at a later date. The family is working on the date and time and burial will be held at the Falling Springs Cemetery in the Allred Community of Overton County.
